baby food made with love
It’s so easy to open a jar of baby food, why should you make your own?
It’s even cheaper
You don’t have to pay for marketing, packaging or shipping cost…only healthy food.
It’s more nutritious
Jarred food is so smooth because it’s over cooked and over processed. When you make it, you’re in control of how it’s prepared. It might be a little chunkier but it will certainly be fresher and more delicious.
It’s good for the earth
There is no transportation or packaging and you can insure that it’s made with locally grown organic fruits and vegetables.
Variety
Commercial baby food manufacturers only produce a limited variety of flavors based on what’s marketable. There’s no beets, parsnips, cauliflower or blackberries. If you begin to introduce your baby to a variety of tastes and textures they have a better chance of having a more developed palate once they reach those picky toddler years.
It’s easy
Once you have the resources and know the basics it really is quick and easy.
We understand. Being a new parent is a difficult job and many think they just don’t have time to make homemade baby food. Our goal is to make it simple for parents to do what’s best for their babies and start them on the road to a lifetime of healthy natural eating. Food should never be stressful it should be fun & messy.
Messy Eaters makes it simple for parents by starting them off with a stash of great first foods as well as understandable resources on sanitation, cooking to retain nutrients, safe storage, age appropriate food choices, and great recipes for eating as a family. Together we will create a freezer stash of healthy food for your new eater as a part of a private lesson or an evening with your new parent friends. You provide the wine, we’ll provide the food and everyone will leave with a starter stash of fruits and veggies and the information they need to confidently move forward.
We all need to be conscious of what we are putting in the mouths of our families. Whenever available we will purchase organic, seasonal food from local farmers. If you like, we’ll even introduce you to the farmers. However, with Colorado’s climate we can’t always get locally grown food and know that you can’t either and we’ll help you learn to make do with the best food available year round.
